Andy was born in Iserlohn, W Germany, and spent the first few years of his life in Iserlohn and Dortmund, in West Germany.  After returning to Wiltshire, he spent seven years at school in Bath, followed by three years in Canterbury where he gained his B.A. degree.  While there, he met Shannon, who was studying for a post-graduate degree.  Shannon came from Calgary, and it was not too long before they both returned to Calgary and were married.  They still live there, in a lovely house in the suburb of Kensington, which is within sight of Downtown Calgary, yet still maintains its own community "village" feel.  Andrew has recently acquired dual nationality.  They work long, hard hours in the family business (Buying, re-conditioning, selling and servicing Twin Otter aeroplanes), but they also relax with trips to the theatre and the ballet, as well as trips to Las Vegas where Shannon's parents have a condo.  Calgary, of course, is within an hour's drive of the most magnificent scenery of the Rocky Mountains, where they have friends with whom they regularly spend weekends.
