Sally was born in Hannover, West Germany.  She lived for the first couple of years near there on the Luneburg Heath and then, after a short spell in Britain, she moved to Iserlohn , then Dortmund.  The family home was then moved to Larkhill, Wiltshire, and she spent seven years at school in Bideford, North Devon.  After obtaining her BA degree, she taught for several years before going to  Zermatt, Switzerland, where she lived and worked for some time. On return, she took up a teaching post in London, where she now lives with her little West Highland, Finty.
